Greenplum Database is a relational database, which provides full ACID (Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation and Durability) compliance. It provides almost full compliance with SQL 1992 and SQL 1999 standard, and over the recent years has added support for several new features in SQL 2006 and SQL 2008 standards.
